| 1980 | Sister company - Powerful Mechanical &
Electrical Ind. Co., Ltd. joined in our group. It specializes in developing and designing various precision toolings, hardware parts, and machineries. |
| 1987 | Heat - treatment production line was added. |
| 1989 | The company started developing cutter toolings. And 3 sets of blade grinding machines were designed and finished by Powerful Mechanical & Electrical Ind. Co., Ltd. |
| 1991 | Plastic injection facilities were installed. Since then we can arrange the plastic parts to be made in house. Measuring tapes monthly capacity reached to 500,000 pcs. Snap-off blades monthly capacity reached to 3 million. |
| 1992 | After a long period of investigation, the company decided to invest a Rolling Mill at WuZhou, China, its name is Sun Joy Steel Strip Products Co., Ltd.(WuZhou). Number of employees is more than 550. It is a joint - venture between Taiwanese, Chinese and German, specializing in producing various of high carbon steel thin strips. Taiwan San Tyau Co., Ltd. is the biggest shareholder. Through one year's preparation, three year's construction and training, scope of operations are nearly fully matured. |
| 1995 | Successfully developed high tension resistant fiberglass surveyor's tape. The company's second assembly line of measuring tapes was established at Tainan, south part of Taiwan, to release labor shortage around Taipei suburb. |
| 1996 | Successfully developed nylon coated steel tape blades. |
| 1997 | Successfully developed two-color (yellow and white) fiberglass ribbons. |
| 1998 | Successfully developed Class I printing machine with Japanese technicians. Number of employees is over 190. |
| 1999 | Sun Joy Steel Strip Products Co.,Ltd.(Wu Zhou)has been granted ISO-9002 Certificate. |
| 2000 | Concentrated on developing new
measuring tapes and got 8 U.S. Patents. Got EEC Class I certificate for measuring tapes. Installed one more heat-treatment facility to catch up with bigger order demand. |
| 2001 | Got EEC Class I certificate for long steel tapes. Got EEC Class II certificate for fiberglass tapes. |
| 2002 | Invested rotary plastic injection machine. President Mr. Sun wins the National Invention Award of Taiwan. |
